학장 인사말

복음을 전하는 자들의 발걸음 소리가 점점 멀어져가고 있는 영적으로 어두운 시대에 지금 우리가 살고 있습니다.

California Theological Seminary(CTS)는 확신과 열정, 그리고 당당함과 겸손함을 겸비한 주의 종들을 길러서 이 어두운 시대에 밝은 복음의 빛을 비추게 하기 위해 세워진 하나님의 학교입니다. CTS는 구약에 나오는 엘리사의 선지자학교와 비슷합니다. 엘리사의 선지자학교처럼 CTS는 철저한 소명을 가진 학생들을 환영합니다. 목회를 생활의 방편이나 도피처가 아닌, 도저히 피할 수 없는 하늘로부터의 사명으로 받아들인 학생들을 존귀하게 여기는 학교입니다. 그래서 비록 작은 학교이지만 꿈이 크고 강렬합니다. 그리고 본교는 모든 학생들에게 100% 장학금을 지급하는 아주 특별한 학교입니다.

우리 CTS의 교수진들도 강한 소명으로 무장되어 있습니다. 어느 학교보다도 더 예수 중심인 까닭은 교수진들의 뜨거운 신앙 때문입니다. 우리 교수님들은 신학의 학문을 중요시 하지만 결코 신앙보다 더 앞세우지 않습니다. 우리는 강단에서 학생들을 가르칠 때마다 그들이 멀지않은 장래에 주의 복음을 능력있게 전하게 될 하나님의 종들이라는 믿음을 가지고 가르칩니다.그래서 우리 교수진들은 성령님의 도우심을 항상 구하며 가르칩니다.

이 어두운 시대에 주의 복음을 전하고 싶은 열정을 가진 분들이 계신다면 우리 학교를 방문해보시기 바랍니다.

The sound of the footsteps of those who preach the gospel is fading away as we are living in an era of spiritual darkness.

California Theological Seminary(CTS) is established to raise confident, passionate, and humble servants of God to shine the light of the gospel in the time of darkness. CTS is like Elisha's school of prophets in the Old Testament that we welcome those who have strong conviction and calling from God. We honor the students who are compelled to serve God because it is an inevitable and irresistible calling from God, not just an occupation to make living or a hiding place. CTS is small in size. However, our vision is immense and intense. And we are a very special school that offers 100% scholarships to all students.

CTS faculty is armed with strong calling and dedication. CTS is Christ centered school because our professors have fervent faith. We teach theology with seriousness but we consider faith with foremost significance. We instruct our students trusting that they will preach the gospel with power as servants of God in near future. That is why our professors always seek the Holy Spirit's help as they teach.
